T H E P I L L O W S

The Pillows was formed in 1987, when the band split J-Rock "Kenzi & the Trips." The former members of Trips Kenji Ueda (bass) and Shinichiro Sato (drums) teamed up with Yoshiaki Manabe (guitar), who had previously played for the visual-kei band called Persia, and Sawao Yamanaka (voice).

In 1997 when they finally put their foot in the main scene of J-Rock, with his album, Please Mr. LOSTMAN, which was followed by a series of hit singles, which ended up catapulting. After a resounding tour proceeded to take over the next two years the highly successful albums, Little Busters, which was his first bestseller, and Runners High Happy Bivouac. In 1999, the pillows approached the Gainax, Anime studio famous for its series Evangelion and Nadia, who wanted to license their latest three albums for a pilot series of Anime, FLCL.

On November 14, 2007 get a new DVD titled LOSTMAN Go to Yesterday. It includes Clips and PVs of the band and extras, with a total of 5 CDs + 1 DVD. On January 30, 2008 published the single Tokyo Bambi, which includes 3 songs plus 2 extra PVs: TOKYO BAMBI and GO GO! Jupiter, a commercial DVD called "Wake up! Stand up! And Go!"
